About Us

Fire Halo™ originates from the Blue Mountains, New South Wales, where a family company developed the device following recent catastrophic bushfires when the Frank cousins noticed their neighbours up on their roof risking serious injury or worse, with hoses, sprinklers and clothing trying to fill and plug their gutters.

Fire Halo™ makes it safer, faster and easier to help prepare your property from imminent or future bushfire events, while keeping your gutters clear of debris. The Fire Halo™ is fully patented and trademarked, as well as Australian Made.

Our Vision

At Fire Halo New Zealand, our vision is to provide Kiwis with a safe and easy to use device that can help with protecting their properties from fire ember attacks.

A majority of fire damage to properties in rural areas is caused by the ember attack and not the actual fire nearby, Fire Halo™ was developed a device that aims to reduce the difference between the ember attack and direct front damage.

Helping protect your home is our priority so we engineered the device to be as easy as possible!

"Protect, Divert, Flush, Clean"

Fire Halo connects to a feeder pipe, which is connected to every downpipe on a house, and then to a water tank or mains water supply via a garden hose.

1. Ember Attack Protection

When activated it forces water back up the downpipes to flood rooftop gutter systems with water, stopping embers from igniting dry leaves and debris in the gutters.

2. Gutter Flusher

Flush your gutters periodically by forcing water back up the downpipe and back out through the diverter with the cap removed.

3. Rainwater Harvester

The device can be used in reverse to divert and collect rainwater from your rooftop downpipes to a storage tank or to fill your pool.

3. Solar Panel Washer / Diverter

Solar panel wash detergents are toxic and shouldn't circulate back to your tanked water supply, use the Fire Halo™ to flush and divert the chemical waste.

How long will it take to receive my order?

Delivery times vary depending on your location and shipping method. Generally, orders are processed within 1-3 business days, with shipping times ranging from 7-21 days depending on demand.

Can I return or exchange an item if I'm not satisfied?

Yes, we offer a hassle-free return policy. If you're not completely satisfied with your purchase, simply contact us within 30 days for a refund provided your product hasn't been glued or damaged in any way. Special and volume trade orders excluded.

In which countries is Fire Halo™ available?

Currently available in New Zealand and Australia, but we rolling out globally in a systematic fashion. Shipping rates and delivery times vary depending on your location. Please note that additional customs fees may apply.

How can I track my order?

Once your order has shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number. You can use this tracking number to monitor the status of your delivery online.

Which Fire Halo™ is right for me?

If your house is one which has 90mm PVC ‘conventional’ downpipes (downpipes that disperse the water onto the ground or street) the Conventional Fire Halo is the one that is recommended.

If your house has all 90mm PVC downpipes connected to the one pipe that feeds into an aboveground tank (mostly slimline) then the Charged Fire Halo is recommended.

The Charged Fire Halo must be installed onto the 90/100mm PVC tank feeder pipe for it to flood all downpipes that connected to it.

What warranty does the Fire Halo™ have?

5 Year manufacturer's replacement warranty. T&C's apply.

Who can I get to install the Fire Halo™?

If you do not wish to install the Fire Halo™ yourself, we strongly recommend you engage in a licensed plumber or roofer to complete the task. Please check our preferred installers on our website to see if you fall into their designated areas. Also consider signing up as one and we may refer business to you!
